Lots of Summer Baseball Left: Kernels Promotions And Giveaways

The Cedar Rapids Kernels season is well underwayand it's an excellent time to plan for a fun day/night at the ballpark. A game at Veterans' Memorial Stadium is a treat and they often run special promotions and giveaways, or discounts for fans.

Big Screen Thursdays with KDAT and First Federal Community Credit Union

Three lucky fans age 18 and up will leave at the end of the game with a brand new, 50-inch big-screen TV! Fans can stop by the First Federal Credit Union table on the concourse for a FREE raffle ticket. The Thursday schedule is as follows.

Two For One Friday

Get your drink on after a long week, as all 16 oz. draft and canned beer and 20 oz. bottled soda and water are "buy one get one FREE!

Baseball Bingo Sponsored by Ox Yoke Inn

A little staycation getaway is up for grabs when fans play baseball Bingo every Sunday sponsored by Ox Yoke Inn for a chance to win a grand prize of a special Amana weekend getaway package awarded at the end of the season.

Fireworks Saturdays

Various community sponsors will be hosting these popular nights, including To The Rescue, Collins Aerospace, Kwik Star, and the Special Olympics of Iowa. Majestic fireworks displays will follow the games below:

Many of your other favorite promotions are back

From "Run the Bases Sunday" and "Kids Eat Free" Sundays at every Sunday home game, to Noon Games on June 15, June 22, and August 3, where those in attendance can get a lunch Combo of a regular sandwich, chips, or popcorn and a 16 oz. draft beer or 20 oz. bottled soda or water for $10.00.

Bark in the Park

Fans can register online to bring their dog to the game. All dogs need tickets and 100% of dog ticket proceeds will benefit Critter Crusaders. Tickets and registration are available online. Dates: June 21, July 6, and August 1
