Cedar Rapids Police Investigating After Body Found Along I-380

The Cedar Rapids Police Department stated in a press release Tuesday that they are conducting an investigation after a body was found along I-380.

According to the release, an Iowa Department of Transportation employee found a deceased body "alongside Interstate 380 southbound near Wright Brothers Boulevard SW". Officers were dispatched to the area Monday, September 28 at 3:52 p.m. where they found an adult female.

There is no other information yet regarding the circumstances of the death, but an investigation in ongoing. Below is the media release from the CRPD:
