The third annual Pulling For Honor event is set for Saturday, July 14th. Come out to this FREE event where teams of up to 25 people will be pulling a 65-ton 757 FedEx jet to see which team can pull the plane 12 feet in the fastest time.

The event is the largest one-day fundraiser for Eastern Iowa Honor Flight (EIHF), the organization that provides flights to veterans to travel to Washington D.C. to see the war memorials built in their honor. Pulling for Honor has raised close to $100,000 in the first two years of the event.

Aren't on a pull team, don't worry - come out and enjoy the morning to see the competition, bring the kids to check out the bouncy houses, and new this year, there will be a kids' pull!

Other activities will include aircraft displays and the local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 33 will be giving free plane rides for kids ages 8-17 as part of their Young Eagle Program.

The event is at 3435 Beech Way, at the Eastern Iowa Airport. Gates open at 8 a.m. with the opening ceremony at 8:45 a.m.

Come out and have some fun for a good cause. It all happens on Saturday, July 14th near CID!
