There is news to be thankful for as we head into a holiday season like none we've experienced before. For the first time in 35 years, Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller were unable to tour due to the pandemic of 2020, but things appear to be looking up for 2021, with several virus vaccines in the pipeline and an eye on next year's Christmas season. A concert announcement brings the hope of restrictions being lifted within the coming months.

Iowa's News Now reports the band has set the date Friday, December 17, 2021, at 8 p.m., to return to Cedar Rapids at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse (formerly U.S. Cellular Center). Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 4, 2020. CREventsLive.com is your source for information on this concert. All events until further notice have the following protocols in place:

  • Clear purses/bags allowed. Non-clear bags prohibited.
  • Face coverings required when guests are in the venue, outside of their pod. Face coverings may be removed when seated.

However, the CREventsLive website states the seating chart will NOT be socially distanced in anticipation of protocols being lifted by that time. Schedule and details are subject to change and we, the Christmas Station 104.5 KDAT will also have new details about this festive occasion as they arise.

The show will feature all of your favorite original classic Christmas hits from the first Mannheim Steamroller Christmas album, along with multimedia effects in an intimate setting. Davis will direct and co-produce Tour performances with MagicSpace Entertainment.
