Move over, Clayton Kershaw! (Well, not quite. Actually, not even close).

We're coming up on a big holiday weekend packed with fun, and hopefully decent weather. Baseball with the Kernels at Veteran's Memorial Stadium is on the agenda for Sunday.

Stop by and see KDAT at our table, where you can spin the prize wheel for a t-shirt, candy, tickets to a future Kernels game, movie passes or lots of other great prizes.

A certain KDAT midday radio personality has been asked to throw out the "ceremonial first pitch". What could go wrong? I've never done this sort of thing before, so I'm going to need a LOT of practice. I'm not that nervous. There's a reason I played right field in little league, but I'm a much better pitcher than catcher.

It will be another "Kids Eat Free" and "Run The Bases" Sunday. All kids 12 and under in attendance will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, popcorn and drink at the concession stand.

Following the game, you can run the bases, play catch on the field, meet the players and get their autographs.

Other family activities throughout the game will include Balloon art from Papa Balloon, Travel Advisors Baseball Bingo for a chance to go to Minneapolis for a Twins game, and this weekend is the return of the Hovick Family traveling petting zoo!

Come and see us starting around 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The first pitch (the REAL one) will start the game at 2:05. Have a great Memorial Day weekend and we hope to see you there!
