Courtlin Got a New Tattoo This Weekend [PHOTOS]

I know there are people out there who are not fans of tattoos, but I am definitely not one of those people.

This weekend I went back to my home state of Michigan to celebrate the Labor Day holiday. I'm always excited to go back home and see all of my friends and family and my dog, but this time I was extra excited because I had an appointment to get a new tattoo! I made the appointment the last time I was home in June, so it's been a long two and a half months.

Now, I know what you're probably thinking: "Courtlin, why didn't you just make an appointment to get it here in Cedar Rapids?" Once you see the tattoo it'll make a little more sense...

That's right, folks! I got a tattoo of the state of Michigan!

I know there are probably people out there who think it's a pretty stupid tattoo, but I didn't get it for anyone else but me. I've actually been thinking about getting it since moving to Iowa almost four years ago. I take a lot of pride in my home state, and since the radio industry will likely prevent me from ever moving back there, I wanted a way to keep my home with me at all times. Plus, it will be easier to show people in Iowa where in Michigan I'm from when they ask me (which happens quite a bit).

Now that tattoo number five is officially complete, I'm already daydreaming about number six! Don't worry, I'm going to give it a couple years...
