Tater is famous!

Back on May 20th, Miranda Lambert's charity organization MuttNation sent out an email titled, "Your dog could be in a music video!" I happen to still be on the mailing list after making a donation a few years ago, so I got that email and I immediately opened it up. It read:

"In honor of National Rescue Dog Day, Miranda Lambert wants our community of dog lovers to help create a music video featuring your furry friends! Submit a photo or video below for a chance to see your dog in this special video."

I adopted my little Tater Tot from Last Hope Animal Rescue in Cedar Rapids back in March and, as his mom, I think he's a very handsome boy, so I decided to send in his photo.

To be totally honest with you, I totally forgot that I did that until this morning when I saw a new MuttNation email titled, "A music video with dogs!" The email says:

"A few weeks ago, Miranda asked you to submit photos of your dogs to be a part of a music video… and thousands of you sent in the cutest photos and videos! The music video for “How Dare You Love” featuring your fur babies is officially out now!"

I began watching the music video, and after about a minute and a half, I had given up hope of seeing Tater's photo. But then, at two minutes and 21 seconds, there he was! He's on the screen for a really short amount of time, so if you blink you might miss him, but I took a screenshot of the video for proof!

Tater has yet to demand an agent or threaten to sue me for using his photo without permission, but I'll keep you posted if the fame starts to go to his head. :)
