Dawn Says You’re Washing Your Dishes All Wrong

Procter & Gamble says that people have been using old fashioned liquid detergent since 1972, but they say it doesn't get all of the stuff you want off the dishes anymore. They set out to create a new product that will.

More than ever, consumers are washing one or two dishes at a time, instead of letting them pile up and clean the whole batch. PG says the original liquid detergent is designed to combine with water, and soak the dishes for some time before easily wiping the grime off.

Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Soap, Dawn's first new dish detergent since the original, and is supposed to be much more efficiently used. It's specially designed for the clean as you go lifestyle.

Rather than combine with water to create suds, the spray creates cleaning suds that pull the nasty right off the plate.

PG expects the release to be the biggest release for a product since "Tide Pods."
