It looks like there’s a new Fast & Furious family feud brewing.

See what Michelle Rodriguez — Fast mainstay since the first film as the tough-as-nails Letty Ortiz — wrote about Chris Morgan on Twitter. Morgan, for those who are unfamiliar, had a hand in writing every Fast & Furious movie since Tokyo Drift. His screenplays introduced many of the most popular characters, including Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’ Shaw, and he’s widely credited as one of the key creative forces who helped revive the franchise and transform it into a massive financial juggernaut.

Morgan is widely credited, but not Rodriguez credited, as she responded to an interview with the writer in Entertainment Weekly by claiming Morgan “has absolutely nothing to do with where this narrative is or where it’s going”:

It’s worth noting that Morgan co-wrote the new Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw (which Rodriguez does not appear in), but he did not write Fast & Furious 9 (which Rodriguez does appear in), which is the first time his name won’t appear in the writing credits of a Fast sequel in 14 years when it opens next year. And Johnson and Fast’s ultimate star, Vin Diesel, have had a public feud for years. At least from the outside, it seems like the much-vaunted Fast family is fracturing into two factions. Rodriguez did also tweet that she’s “happy for Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham” about their success and their Fast spinoff. So there’s that at least.
