Well, we've finally managed to go a few weeks in a row without any snowfall here in the Quad Cities. But we have had our fair share of rain already, and that means the Mississippi River is already pretty high.

Just driving over I-74 everyday, I've been able to see that the river levels are exceptionally high, verging on flooding in Moline.

Unfortunately, flooding is set to get worse this week. According to our partners over at Our Quad Cities, the river currently stands at 18.28' in the Quad Cities, and is expected to rise even more.

They estimate that by next weekend "it will be nearing its (likely) highest crest of this season around 20.1'."  That will be the highest level the Mississippi has been in the Quad Cities in almost 5 years.

Of course, this could mean some road closures. We'll keep you posted on those as they come, but be sure to keep a close eye on things.
