With all the flooding of the last few days, it seems Davenport has gotten hit the hardest. With their flood barrier breaking yesterday in the Downtown Area, entire blocks are under water and businesses have been shut down indefinitely.

Among those that have suspended operations is indeed the United States Postal Service. According to KWQC, the USPS has announced that things have officially come to a halt at Davenport's Main Office, due to flooding impacting the facility.

Per the announcement, people can get their "Post Office Box mail, packages and other notice left items from street and PO Box delivery and continue any Business Mail Entry transactions until 2 p.m. Wednesday."

At that point, any and all mail items and services will be sent over to the Davenport Northwest Station, located at 4018 N Marquette, operating from 8:30 a.m –5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. –1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

At this point, no timeline for when operations will resume at the Davenport Main Post Office has been announced.
