If you're looking for something different to do, soon you'll be able to feast your eyes on some giant metal beasts. That's because an interesting new art exhibit is coming to Iowa.

According to Reiman Gardens, a horticulture garden at Iowa State University, the "Lewis and Art" Exhibition is coming this April. The exhibit features "metal plants, insects, and animals made from found objects." Electrical technician and machinist turned artist, Dale Lewis, repurposes salvage and turns it into incredible works of art. You know what they say, one person's trash is another person's treasure. Lewis' sculptures certainly are a treasure to see. Check out some of his works below.

WOW. That's some talent. Reiman Gardens will be the first botanical garden to serve as a temporary home for Lewis' impressive creations. The Minnesota artist's sculptures will be on display at the venue starting April 16 through October 2022. You can find out more about the exhibit on the garden's website here.

It's amazing how someone can create something so magnificent out of basically nothing. If these sculptures look this good in photos, imagine how they'll look up close! There are other interesting art exhibits headed our way too. An immersive Van Gough experience is headed to Des Moines that puts your right inside some of his most famous paintings with projections. No word yet on exactly when or where that will take place, but you can sign up to be the first to know here.

Do you know of any other interesting art exhibits headed our way? Or have you visited one lately that impressed you? If so, tell us about it in the app. Just click that 'message us' button.
