KCRG is reporting that retail chain Gordman's will close its Cedar Rapids and Coralville locations. The company says its Davenport store will stay open. Word of any other Eastern Iowa locations and their fate was not immediately available.

Clearance sales are reportedly underway and going out of business signs displayed at each location. While their parent company, Stage Stores has made no formal announcement, other closures will likely include Gordmans stores in Sioux City and Des Moines.

Coralville store employees have reportedly been notified that their store will close as of May 30.

When Gordmans initially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017, the Eastern Iowa stores were able to remain open. Three years later, the news is not so good.

Gordmans was a popular destination for a variety of apparel items and footwear for men, women and children, as well as accessories, home décor, gifts, designer fragrances, fashion jewelry, bedding and bath, accent furniture and toys.
