Hard Seltzer Ice Cream is a Thing Now

Two refreshing treats have teamed up to make the ultimate summer snack!

If you're a fan of ice cream AND hard seltzer, then I'd like to introduce you to The Truly Lemonade Ice Cream + Sorbet Variety Pack:

The new products are a boozy collaboration between Truly and Tipsy Scoop. According to Delish, each variety pack features "four of Truly's lemonade-inspired spiked seltzers and four pints of lemonade spiked seltzer-inspired ice cream and sorbets." The pint flavors include:

Truly Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet
Truly Mango Lemonade Sorbet
Truly Original Lemonade Ice Cream
Truly Black Cherry Lemonade Ice Cream

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Tipsy Scoop is available in any stores near us. It can be shipped, but it's going to cost you... a lot. The variety pack will cost you $48, but to have it overnighted to Iowa is $89. YIKES. If you're wondering how it's possible to ship ice cream, here's what the official website says:

"Shipments are packed in an insulated cooler box with dry ice to keep the ice cream frozen for the transit period."

Because most of us can't really afford to spend nearly $150 on alcoholic ice cream, I figured I'd share with you the next best thing: hard seltzer slushies. I've seen a ton of hard seltzer slushie recipes pop up on social media these past few weeks, and it looks super simple. You just take the seltzer of your choice and pour it into a blender. Add some ice, some frozen fruit, and maybe a little vodka and or/ginger ale. BOOM. Alcoholic slushie. It's not ice cream, but it still sounds delicious!
