Help KHAK Put Smiles on Local Kids Faces with Toys for Tots

Christmas is just over a month away and we know there are many kids in eastern Iowa that won't have much under their tree(s). That's why we've joined the efforts of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and the Salvation Army to help get new toys for those kids and put smiles on their faces.

Let me start with some numbers that will no doubt astound you. I know they did me. In 2018, more than 19,000 toys were donated in Linn County. They were distributed to more than 4,800 kids from 900 different families. Amazing. However, this year Toys for Tots tells us they'll need 25,000 toys to meet local needs! That's where you come in.

This Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, KHAK will be broadcasting live from the Cedar Rapids Fleet Farm. Brain and Courtlin will be live Friday morning from 7 to 10, I'll be there Friday afternoon from 3 to 7, and we'll all be at the store Saturday morning from 7 to 11.
