Hy-Vee Makes Major Donation To HACAP For Frontline Workers
News came via a press release today that Hy-Vee has made a huge donation of food to HACAP for frontline workers and their families.
More than $37,000 of "Meat District" products were donated as part of "Feed the Frontlines", a series of donations that Hy-Vee and Meat District are making to help provide meat and other items to HACAP and other food banks throughout Hy-Vee’s eight-state region.
Chicken and pork products were donated, along with other items including rice, pasta, breadcrumbs and seasonings.
Hy-Vee senior Vice President Tina Potthoff said "we are extremely grateful for Meat District’s partnership in helping us care for our communities during this difficult time."
A Meat District spokesperson said his company is "excited and honored to have the opportunity to give back and ensure families are being fed, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic."
Once again, Hy-Vee uses its enormous outreach and help from its loyal suppliers to do a ton of good in its communities, of which we in Eastern Iowa are proud to be among.
