Service dogs do amazing things for people with disabilities, and are also great companions for veterans as well. But where do you take them to the bathroom when you're at an airport? Many don't have areas for service animals. One Iowa airport is changing that.

The Des Moines airport is building a restroom area for service dogs. The project will cost about $100,000 and require the removal of 10 terminal seats. The area will feature artificial turf and a washing area for cleaning up afterwards.

Officials say the upgrade is required for airports that see more than 10,000 passengers per year.
