Last week, they shocked everyone in Wisconsin, and across the college basketball world, when they announced they were leaving Marquette. This week, Iowa and Wisconsin are two of the four schools that appear to be among the small number being considered by brothers Sam (#10 above) and Joey Hauser (#22 above).

Sam Hauser, who has one season of eligibility remaining, averaged 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game during his recently completed junior season. Joey Hauser averaged 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds during his freshman season. He has three years of eligibility remaining. Iowa Barnstormers AAU fans might remember Joey Hauser, who played for the team. The Hawkeyes unsuccessfully recruited him in high school. The brothers would both have to sit out the 2019-20 season, before joining their new team in 2020-21.

So where will Sam and Joey end up? Natives of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, it appears they will choose from four schools. Their home state school, Wisconsin, along with fellow Big Ten schools Michigan State, and Iowa. The other choice is national champion, Virginia.

Just how good are the Hauser brothers? CBS Sportsline says,

The Hausers' inclusion and infusion to any roster on a top-25 team would instantly turn said team into a national championship contender for 2020-21.

The games of the Hauser brothers definitely fit what Iowa does under coach Fran McCaffery. They combined for 133 made 3-pointers last season, with both shooting above 40 percent from outside the arc.

Let me just throw this out there... Iowa has two scholarships available for next season.
