Tyler Sullivan is a University of Iowa grad, and for the past six years, he's been traveling across the state and sharing exciting and interesting things along the way. The Facebook page he uses to help document his adventures Iowa's Scenic Views By Foot also helps him engage with some of the locals in the area.

Everytime he's headed to a new county he throws up a post on his personal page as well as this official page asking about things he should check out. He's gotten some great suggestions from the comments, and this helps him connect on a deeper level with the locals.

Sullivan has kind of upped the ante and started checking off running through the many towns in Iowa. He carefully calculates how much and how long he has to run through these towns each time he heads out.

This traveler is also a poet.

He's writing a poem for every place that he's visiting. The Iowa man is even releasing a book about his adventures. Sullivan has previously released two other books in honor of some of his loved ones, specifically his grandparents. In this body of work he shares twelve poems, he wrote for twelve different counties in Iowa.

Hilarious Iowa DOT Signs

Anyone else share a sense of humor with a state's Department of Transportation? Just me? This is called "message Monday" and Iowa DOT tries to entertain and educate drivers through these signs. Here are just a few of our favorites.
