Whether it's the corn, the beer or the bacon, Iowa has been named in the Top 10 most obese states in America.

An updated survey this month of the most obese states in America has Iowa ranking number 7, coming in at 35.3% of residents being significantly overweight, according to StateofObesity.org.

Illinois did a bit better, ranking 24, coming in at 31.8%.

"According to the most recent Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) data, adult obesity rates now exceed 35% in nine states, 30% in 31 states and 25% in 48 states"

What's significant is overall in the country, nearly every single state rates in the worst categories. It says a lot about our health as a nation and I think it's a reflection of what's also happening in our government.
