Just days after 7'0" center Xavier Foster of Oskaloosa, Iowa committed to Iowa State, Iowa has received a commitment from a big man of their own.

The Hawkeyes have received a verbal commitment from Josh Ogundele, a 6'11" 255-pound center from Worcester Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts. Ogundele, a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports, had seventeen other offers.

Ogundele's confirmation of his commitment to Iowa came via Twitter. The accompanying video sheds a lot of light on the left-handed England native's path to get to this point, both personally and in sports.

Ogundele is the fifth commitment to the 2020 Iowa men's basketball program. His verbal follows those from two three-star guards, Ahron Ulis (point guard) and Tony Perkins (shooting guard), and Cedar Rapids Prairie grads Kris and Keegan Murray. The Murray twins, sons of former Iowa player Kenyon Murray, both project as forwards at Iowa.

The 2019-20 Iowa Hawkeyes next game is Friday (11/15) night at 7:01 pm at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes host Oral Roberts.
