While life in small town Iowa is still very safe and even idyllic, compared to big cities like Chicago, the small towns of Iowa seem to spike in criminal activity each year.

Let's face it, the world is getting rougher so it's good to be informed.

Last year's list revealed a few changes in the Top Five Most Dangerous Cities in Iowa.

This year's list also contains a few surprises. One new town makes the top five list and there is a change at the #1 top spot.

One thing all these towns have in common is that they are home to plenty of good citizens who work hard to keep their towns clean and safe.
