ORIGINAL STORY: 10/6

The "biggest Halloween party in the Corridor" is coming up in just a few weeks! The 8th annual Cedar Rapids Haunted Halloween Ball will return to Downtown Cedar Rapids the weekend before Halloween.

According to the event's official Facebook page, the Cedar Rapids Haunted Halloween Ball will make its return on Saturday, October 28th beginning at 7 p.m. As always, the party will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Convention Complex in Downtown Cedar Rapids and is limited to ages 21 and up.

We don't have too many details on the annual event just yet, but we DO know that the headlining act is The Schmidt Brothers, an Iowa-based rock band that also headlined the ball last year. Guests can also expect costume contests with cash prizes, drinks, food trucks, and photo booths.

The theme for the 2023 Cedar Rapids Haunted Halloween Ball is Barbie, which means attendees can expect to see LOTS of pink decorations! But, that certainly doesn't mean attendees have to dress in a Barbie theme (although I'm sure that will be a very popular costume this year). Come up with something unique and creative and you could end up taking home a prize! Here are some of the photos from last year's event:

The Facebook page for the Haunted Halloween Ball promises that more information and a link to buy tickets are coming soon! You can get the latest updates by following the page HERE.
