We've all dreamed about competing on a television game show at some point in our lives, right? Well, one Eastern Iowa native is about to turn that dream into a reality.

It seems like an exciting couple of weeks for Iowans on competition/game shows! A father and son duo from Cedar Falls made it to the finals of 'America Ninja Warrior' and made the Cedar Valley incredibly proud.

You can read more about that here.

Now, another person from the Hawkeye State will be making their television debut. This time it will be on a highly anticipated season of 'Wheel of Fortune.'

This current season marks the 41st for the popular program. It is one of the highest rated shows in syndication in U.S. television history, and it just so happens to be Pat Sajak's last season as the host.

We'll all be sad to see him go...

Do you know that the iconic "wheel" actually weighs 2,400 pounds?

On tonight (Monday, September 18th)'s episode, a woman from Eastern Iowa named Nicole Winther will have a chance to spin that incredibly heavy wheel.

Winther has lived in Cedar Falls for more than two decades, according to a report from the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. She completed her master's degree in social work at the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. The mother of two young children is a social work professor at UNI and the owner of Counseling Connection.

Winther actually shot her episode back in July and has probably been eagerly awaiting her episode's air date. The episode is set to air on Monday, September 18th at 6:30 PM on KWWL.

No matter what the results are, Winther has the entire state of Iowa cheering her on!
