I want to start by telling you that injuries were sustained in this altercation but the injuries are non-life threatening and the individual who was shot should make a full recovery. It wouldn't be fair to make this next joke without first informing you that this person will be okay. A child was also in the room but was not injured.

An eastern Iowa man shot his father in the face over an argument about smelly feet. Yes, you read that sentence correctly. This might be the strangest story you see on the internet today. Normally, we find stories like this coming from Florida. What's the strangest argument you've ever been in with one of your family members? Hopefully, it didn't come to someone pulling out a gun.

Smelly Feet Argument

According to Mississippi Valley Publishing, a Burlington man named David has been charged with attempted murder as well as child endangerment after he shot his father in the face after an argument over "stinky feet."

The father spoke to the police while he was in the hospital about the incident, which escalated after the father spoke to his son about the smell. Allegedly, the argument got headed and the son went into his bedroom to grab a gun. The son then walked into the living room where his father was sitting, pointed the gun at his father's face, and accidentally pulled the trigger.

David called the police, admitted to the shooting and also said there was a child present in the room when this happened.

I'm guessing there is obviously some turmoil between this father and son. I can't say for certain but I'd be willing to guess they've been in heated arguments as of late and during this discussion, the son finally snapped. There's obviously no excuse for this, especially with a child in the room. I keep coming back too is...why didn't the son just leave the room or go outside and calm down for a few minutes?
