We have an update on the Jake McVey show that was cancelled at Uptown Friday Nights a few weeks back.

Weather didn't cooperate on May 24th, and in a rare occurrence, Uptown Friday Nights, which was to feature the Iowa artist, was cancelled. The Cedar Rapids Jaycees have announced they are extending the season to allow the rescheduling of the show to Friday, September 6.

As always, McGrath Amphitheatre gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The live music from Jake starts at 6, with food from Paul Revere's Pizza, and cold drinks from 7G. Admission is $5 for those 21 and over but you can win your way in to this or any Uptown Friday Nights event of the season here.

Meanwhile, the event takes another week off tonight, before returning next Friday, July 5 featuring the O'Connell Brothers Band.

We are excited to welcome Iowa native Jake McVey back  this fall!
