When people tell the story of the history of farming, the Quad Cities area will hold a solid footnote in the John Deere chapter of the book.  It's one of the reasons the Quad Cities will again host the biggest John Deere Enthusiast reunion in downtown Davenport on March 16-19, 2022 at the RiverCenter,

The Gathering of the Green is a nationwide conference that happens every other year for antique John Deere tractor collectors, restorers & enthusiasts.

Come enjoy 60+ workshops with fellow John Deere enthusiasts, peruse 75+ vendors, and enjoy trips and tours, displays, and speakers.
Held at the RiverCenter in Davenport Iowa, the event draws thousands. This year's unique displays will center around the theme "It's Fair Time."
New in 2022 is the Plow City Tractor Show running Wednesday through Friday at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.
Wednesday is for full conference registrants only, and Thursday through Saturday is open for walk-in attendees.
For more information, full schedule, and to register, visit www.gatheringofthegreen.com.
Everyone had those green tractors they played with as a kid.  In fact, while cleaning out my garage this weekend I ran across my son's tractor and trailer and it reminded me that this is how it starts.  As a child, you get obsessed with these huge machines. Especially out in the country when they roll past your house during harvest.  They're loud and powerful.
This is when the obsession starts.  The Gathering of the Green is where it ends up.  Sometimes it's still fun to play with tractors.
