Popular Iowa Brewery Restaurant Is Closing Its Doors This Month

Another restaurant in the Quad Cities is closing its doors. The restaurant, located inside of a popular brewery, is on the Iowa side and has been serving up delicious for for the past three years.

The restaurant will be closing up this month and a little more specifically, this weekend. If you want to have food from Kitchen Brigade one more time before they close their Davenport location, you might want to get there sooner rather than later.

Kitchen Brigade Is Closing Its Doors

After three years of operating in the same building as Stompbox Brewing (210 E River Dr.) in Davenport, Kitchen Brigade is closing up shop.

Serving up popular burgers and other dishes that are Euro-inspired by owner and chef Chad Cushman, Kitchen Brigade's closure has many customers sad about the news on social media.

In an Instagram post on January 4th, 2024, Kitchen Brigade announced that they will be closing up shop in Davenport. The Kitchen Brigade location in Dubuque appears to still be open with no announcement of it closing anytime soon.

This is what the social media post said about Kitchen Brigade closing in Davenport:

"With hearts heaping with gratitude (and a pinch of bittersweet), we have news to share. After three incredible years of serving our Euro-inspired cuisine and creating wonderful memories in downtown Davenport, the Kitchen Brigade will be closing our doors this month.

We do so with sadness, but also with great joy. In fact, contrary to what many might imagine, we’ve decided to leave on a high note. We’re celebrating what has been a very special and successful chapter and closing our doors with many new friends and great memories that we’ll keep forever.

It has been a pleasure and gift to assemble a passionate, professional, and dedicated staff all working toward a collective goal. We thank each of them for pouring their talent and heart into a common purpose: to serve delicious, unique food from a beautiful spot in a beautiful downtown.

We are grateful to our customers and the entire Quad City community. You all have been the heart and soul of Kitchen Brigade. Thank you for the support that drove us to refine every dish and enjoy every celebration and success.

Stompbox Brewing has been an ideal partner, and we will be forever grateful to them. Their comradery and relentless pursuit of their craft made us a perfect pair.

Since I started cooking at the age of 15, I have dreamt of owning a restaurant. You all made this dream a reality with your eagerness to show up and support us and enjoy what we were serving up from the kitchen. I now seek more balance in my life and prioritize precious moments with family and friends. The final day of operation at the Kitchen Brigade will be January 14th. They welcome customers to join them for one last meal.
