Zio Johno's restaurant says it is losing thousands of dollars as construction on 7th avenue in Marion continues. The city began construction of a new roundabout on 7th street at 7th avenue back in March. Zio's says it has lost many customers due to the road work and is now asking the city for help.

The restaurant has asked the city to help build a second entrance and install a new sign along 7th avenue. Management says that right now there is no 7th avenue entrance, no 6th street entrance, and the only way you can get to the restaurant is an alley two blocks away. The paving project also took 14 parking spots in front of the restaurant too.

Zio Johno's sent in their request for the work to the city of Marion last week. The city said it is reviewing the request and could have a decision by next week.
