It just got a little harder to find a Philly cheesesteak in the Quad Cities.

According to KWQC, PepperJax Grill in Davenport has officially closed its doors. It's a sad development, considering how long they'd been in the Quad Cities. The Davenport location, over at 53rd Street and Elmore Avenue, opened five years ago, in 2014.

The restaurant has not made an official statement on their Facebook page as of writing this, but a PepperJax spokesperson did tell KWQC:

“The decision to close this location did not come easy but was in the best interest of the company and we are optimistic this move will help us for future growth and expansion."

So hopefully, PepperJax won't be gone from the Quad Cities forever. There are more locations in Iowa, but they're each a bit of a hike. There's a PepperJax Grill in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls and Ankeny, to name a few.
