P!nk Comes out Swinging Against Dr. Luke: ‘He’s Not a Good Person’
Is Dr. Luke guilty of sexual assault accusations Kesha has thrown his way? It's not for P!nk to say, but either way, the Beautiful Trauma singer is sure the pop producer is a terrible person.
In a new interview with The New York Times, P!nk, whose latest album Beautiful Trauma is just days away from release, said any reputation Luke has had to confront since Kesha's claims came to light is a collective case of karmic retribution.
“I don’t know what happened,” she told the newspaper. “But I know that regardless of whether or not Dr. Luke did that, this is his karma and he earned it because he’s not a good person.”
“I have told him that to his face and I do not work with him,” she added. “He doesn’t do good business, he’s not a kind person, he doesn’t do the right thing when given ample opportunities to do so, and I don’t really feel that bad for him.”
P!nk's words come just days after Kelly Clarkson publicly said she refused to have her name featured on a songwriting credit alongside Dr. Luke's, potentially costing her millions of dollars from No. 1 hit "My Life Would Suck Without You."
“I was making a point to the people working with me, going, ‘This is how much I don’t want to do this,'” she said in an interview with Z100 . “I don’t care about the money. I don’t care about, oh, ‘You’re going to be the most famous person ever if you do this.’ That’s not what holds weight in my life.”
