I still feel like, after the last couple of years, we're all live music-depleted. This summer, it wouldn't be a bad idea to hit EVERY area show humanly possible! If you're in that mindset, then it's going to be a FUN summer!

Here's one show you shouldn't miss: An Iowa band through and through, The Pork Tornadoes are going to be all over the state of Iowa this summer. One of these shows will be in downtown Vinton for this year's Bright Lights on 4th on Saturday, June 11th.

If you're not familiar with The Pork Tornadoes, they're a party band that's played all over the state of Iowa and, according to their website, the entire midwest. They've been at it for over 10 years, and have played over 600 shows in that time.

The band's lead singer Mason Greve was one of 100 finalists on NBC’s The Voice in 2014. Their debut EP came out in 2020 and was streamed over half a million times that year. The band will meld a mix of pop, rock, and fun throwbacks into their show. As you can see, they don't do anything without a ton of energy.

Slap'N'Tickle will open for The Pork Tornadoes. Tickets can be purchased for just $20 here or at the following area businesses:

Vinton:
Ehlingers
John's Qwik Stop
Cedar Rapids:
Double Z Bar and Grill
