Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Run Has New Location

Help a great cause and your own exercise needs with the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa and Illinois Red Shoe Run & Walk 2021.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette says the event is being held in person, but changes have been made due to the pandemic. It will now take place May 2 at Lower City Park in Iowa City.

Registration continues right up until 10:30 a.m. the day of the race, Sunday, May 2. But it's not a "race". It's open to runners and walkers of all skill levels. Registration across the board for the 5K run, 5K walk, or the virtual option is $35. You can also register to volunteer. Get more details here.

All proceeds will benefit the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities. We all know friends or loved ones who may have benefitted from their work providing resources to thousands of sick children and their families in our communities each year so they can stick together while receiving care.
