This Saturday, November 9 at the U.S. Cellular Center, it's the "Hometown Heroes" concert, featuring Bret Michaels, Night Ranger, Lita Ford and Joe Nichols. Tickets are still available, check here for details.

Bret's using this opportunity to honor all the police and fire personnel, first responders, doctors, nurses, EMTs, veteran and military personnel, even teachers or any other everyday difference-maker. He asked for our help finding these folks in our community and we have.

Our second Hometown Hero this week is Cale Henderson. His family has long benefitted from the resources at the Ronald McDonald House, to whom he gives back every year by doing a "beard-shaving extravaganza". The event is hosted at his Tailgators bar in Cedar Rapids, where the donations are collected on the day he shaves it off. Curt Burgess nominated Cale and said:

Cale does more for kids through his work with Ronald McDonald House than anyone. His beard shaving extravaganza is amazing.

Cale is an incredible community asset and an advocate who has raised a lot of money for this great cause. We are proud to salute him and his efforts today, with special recognition at Saturday night's show, along with two tickets, a personal meet and greet with Bret Michaels, and a sweet swag pack from KDAT.
