RoughRiders Achieve 600th Win for Carlson
It was an exciting weekend of hockey in Cedar Rapids, as the RoughRiders once again attempted to pull off a milestone victory for coach Mark Carlson.
I attended the game Friday night vs. Muskegon, which ended with the RoughRiders losing 5-2, followed by a 2-1 defeat Saturday night at the hands of Dubuque at 'The Stable'. It was entertaining and exciting despite the losses, as we hung out with some ticket winners in our suite.
The team headed to Madison for a game today where Coach Mark Carlson achieved his elusive 600th win. We wish he could have seen it happen on home ice, but congratulations on a monumental achievement. With this historic victory under his belt, it's back at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena next weekend to take on Tri-City and Fargo on Friday and Saturday night, respectively. Both games start at 7:05 p.m.
