The long wait is over! The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders got their first win of the season Saturday Night. The Riders defeated Waterloo 3-0, in front of a packed house at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

The RoughRiders now have a record of 1-16-2. They lost the first 18 games of the season. I'm hoping this starts a new streak for the team...a winning one!

Saturday was "Teddy Bear" night at the Stable. Fans brought stuffed animals with them to the game. After the first Cedar Rapids score, fans threw the stuffed bears on the ice. All of the bears were collected and donated to charity for children in need this holiday season.

Here's a clip of that first goal of the game.

After the game, the place went crazy! The team and the fans celebrated the first RoughRider victory of the season!

Next up for the Riders will be two road games against Madison. For more information on the team, check out www.ridertownsua.com!
