May 5th falls on a Wednesday this year so that means there will be plenty of people calling in sick to work on Thursday.  An over abundance of Tacos & Tequila (not just my personal brands new perfume) will spill into the next work day like a clumsy waiter who's sombrero makes them over correct a sharp turn and smash the tray of margaritas into the unsuspecting diners across the aisle.

So one thought is to celebrate this weekend!

Ganzo's Mexican Restaurant is hosting a Cinco De Mayo 5K and a Jalapeno Eating Contest!  (hopefully not at the same time) Saturday go have fun!

Clinton is having a Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl featuring live music from Brooke Byam at Ohana's on Sunday.  Plus street tacos & Bloody Mary's.

The Crooked Cactus Band will be playing at The Tangled Wood in Bettendorf followed by The QC Santana Tribute band at 6pm on Saturday, May 1st.  They'll have drink specials of course and some great live music.
Saturday there will be a Cinco de Mayo BASH at Azteca 1 in Davenport with live music, dancing, raffles and more!
Then there are the die hards that will celebrate on Wednesday anyway.  But there's no reason you can't do this weekend AND next Wednesday!
Celebrate Cinco De Mayo at Wild Rose Casino in Clinton with Margarita Specials, Tacos, Nachos, and more on Wednesday May 5th.
The Lock and Dam Lounge celebrate Cinco de Mayo on May 5th with a lineup of Mexican beer specials and even a Nacho Dog special from Dawgers Hot Dog Stand.

Craft Breweries in the Quad Cities Area

We're very lucky to live in an area with such an amazing, thriving "craft beer scene". You'll be able to find everything you could want.

Not sure what you want? That's ok. The bartenders at these establishments are very well versed and can guide you through a wonderland of Ales and Lagers.

From "coffee infused" to "riff infused".

From "pale ales" to "peanut butter porters".

Fruity, Sour, Hoppy, Malty, Crisp, Crushable beers in all shapes and sizes.

Crowlers, Growlers, Cans & Kegs...the Quad Cities Craft Beer scene has it all.

And of course...a great beer isn't complete unless it's paired with some amazing food. Whether it's made in the breweries kitchen or in the food truck in the parking lot...brewers know that people love food with their beer.

Take a look at the 19 Quad Cities Area craft breweries!
