We can't believe it's been well over a week since the 5k Rave Run went down.  Thanks to all those who joined us for this one last summer celebration, raising money for the Cedar Rapids Parks and Rec Youth Scholarship Program.  We could tell you had a ton of fun, and all for a great cause.  And just to let you know...

I was given the chance to join Joy Howe on Fox 28 this morning to talk all about the 5k Rave Run coming up Saturday.  (You have heard about it, right?)  But being a radio guy, and a little nuts, and also up way earlier than I'd like, well, you might say I got a bit goofy.

Some of you Rave Runners may be new to this 5k race, so we put together a list of the things you might want to bring. Even if you're an experienced runner, this list includes some recommendations to make your Rave Run race experience the best that it can be, and the most fun 5k that you'll ever run!

Face it, when it comes to true partying in this area, you're kinda limited.  Sure, you can head to the bars, but, well... yeah.  And what if you're not of age?  So how would you feel about this: a live DJ, plenty of blacklights and neon, outside, with an awesome view?  Not Cedar Rapids, right?  WRONG!  Get ready for an awesome first time event August 16th.
