This Saturday, the 25 year tradition of Tanager Place Summer Fest continued at the Rockwell Collins Sports Complex.  So many kids and their families came out to enjoy a full day of interactive activities, crafts, inflatables, live entertainment, and mascots, creating fun and memorable experiences. Best of all, almost everything was FREE!

This year we had some great weather compared to last year's rain out, and no surprise, there was a huge turnout.  In fact, the Rev'ed Up For Kids car show became one of the largest in the event's history with around 100 cars in the show.  As usual, the kids lined up for the General Mills, "Make Your Own Cereal" tent and the free bike helmets courtesy of Unity Point Health St. Lukes.  They also enjoyed the "hands-on" activities tent with plenty of arts and crafts, the science discovery tent, the mini-golf, and performances from Dance New York- Iowa, Kim and Lee's Tae Kwon Do, the Iowa skippers, Spirits Dance, and so many more.

Of course, the best part about the day is that it's a grand celebration to celebrate our community's resource that is Tanager Place, who provides programs in mental and emotional services for children.

We had a great time, and hope you did too!  Enjoy the photos, and we'll look for you next year.
