Taylor Dayne, who hit it big in the 80s with “Tell It to My Heart,” will perform along with Tiffany at Rhythm City Casino Resort, Davenport, Sunday, Dec. 29 @ 7 PM. She recently called our studios and talked with me about her life, music education, her influences and what it means to mentor new artists.

Since her breakthrough hit in 1987, she’s had 17 Top 20 singles over her career, including “Love Will Lead You Back,” “Prove Your Love,” and “I’ll Always Love You.” Dayne has sold over 75 million albums and singles worldwide, earned three Grammy nominations, and an American Music Award.

She released her memoir

“Tell It to My Heart” on Feb. 14, 2019, which was on Amazon’s bestseller list for weeks. She has graced the stages of Broadway in hits like “Aida” and “Archie,” and has been seen in Showtime’s “Rude Awakening.”

We had a nice convo in the KIIK studios where Taylor spoke about her career and who is on her playlist. Listen to the whole conversation here.

Tiffany, another legendary pop star from the 80s, has earned two number one hit singles “I Think We're Alone Now” and “Could’ve Been”. She set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album.

In 2000 Billboard Magazine described Tiffany’s album The Color of Silence as ‘thoughtful, intelligent, and full of grace’ and ranked it among the ‘Top Ten Best Albums of the Year.’  She has since sold over 15 million albums to date.

Tickets range from $20 to $45 plus applicable taxes and fees (fees are waived when tickets are purchased in person at The Market gift shop inside Rhythm City Casino Resort). Doors open at 6 PM for the 7 PM show. All ages are welcome.
