Merry Christmas, KDAT listeners!

We are nearing the end of another year, and as I look back, I'll be honest. At times this year, it has felt like I was doing this all by myself. But I need to thank you the listeners, Courtlin, Mike Ferris, and even Jaymz Larson--who left his comfort zone down the hall at our sister station, 94.1 KRNA a handful of times this year to help us out. Thanks to them and all of my other co-workers--too many to list all of them by name, without it sounding like an Oscar acceptance speech!--for their patience and guidance. Because of teamwork, we've completed another successful year together.

The remodeling and swapping around of studios with our three other sister stations in the building has been a challenge. The final product will soon be complete, and we will be better than ever, but in the meantime, KDAT had to go somewhere. We started out being moved into a little cubbyhole of a room to send our broadcast out to you, but it became evident that was not going to be beneficial to you or us. So a better, although still temporary solution was made available as we await the final destination to be complete. I owe our engineer Rick Peters a lot for setting us up with a more comfortable place to hang our hats.

Despite the changes and challenges, including losing another one of our best friends and co-workers, we had a strong year, with you sticking by us the whole time, and for that, we appreciate you. We made our annual transition to "Your Holiday Music Station" on November 16. I can't believe it's almost time to flip that switch back, as I love this time of year at the radio station. But, you can expect everything you've come to know about us to stay intact, if not become even better, as the holidays come to a close and the new year starts.

Personally, I also got to meet a lot of new people and make lasting connections this year, which was a blessing. Believe it or not, as long as I've been doing this, 2017 still gave me the opportunity to learn new skills to benefit my career. You can never stop learning!

Thank you again, so much, for your support and listenership. I've been doing this a loooong time here, and it's because of you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely Yours,

Eric Stone
