The website Thrillist put together a list of the best small town to visit in all 50 states, and the winner for Iowa is only about a two-hour drive from Cedar Rapids!

Looking for the perfect place to take a quick, mini-vacation this summer? Thrillist recommends making a stop in Decorah, Iowa! Decorah was named the winner for our state on Thrillist's list of "The Best Small Town in All 50 States." Decorah has a population of 7,957, and is home to all sorts of great festivals, restaurants, breweries, and parks. Here's what Thrillist had to say about the town:

"Decorah is a jumping-off point for the best wilderness in the Hawkeye State; canoeing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, fishing, and bird-watching are a short drive out of town. You’ll also find the Toppling Goliath Brewery here. And while breweries nowadays are about as rare as stoplights, this one produces Kentucky Brunch, an imperial coffee stout aged in whiskey barrels that was named best beer IN THE WORLD by RateBeer users." -- M.M.
