The Vast Majority of People Will Give Homemade Christmas Gifts
Just remember: it's the thought that counts.
Those Tim Taylors in your family are about to make you their Al Borland. Just remember to be as patient with them as Al. A new survey is out saying that a huge number of people are going to give homemade or handmade gifts for the holidays this year.
With a lot of time on our hands (and maybe some of it spent not working) folks are getting into crafting or building and they think their project is good enough to give as a present. According to SNWS Digital, about 85 percent, to be exact, have said they are definitely going to do this.
Baked goods top the list of homemade items we can expect to receive. Also on the list are artwork, photo albums...and here's where it gets dicey....homemade knitted items including blankets and sweaters. At least you'll have something for next year's ugly sweater contest at the company Christmas party.
Why not give them something they'll really love. Carrie's Gift to You is a new contest on KDAT. Download our free mobile app, and listen for code words at 8:20, 11:20, 1:20 and 4:20. When you hear them, enter them in the app (click the "Contests" button) and voila, your chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree from select retailers. Help that special someone buy new clothes, gifts for the home or anything their heart desires.
It's from UMG Nashville on 104-5 KDAT, in celebration of Carrie Underwood's new album "My Gift" (and yes, Christmas music is coming soon).
