Have you heard of Wisconsin's giant pink elephant Pinkie before?

OMG I'm freaking out. PINKIE! I NEED to go drive and have an entire photoshoot with this elephant.

So if you've never heard of Pinkie before, let me introduce you.

I CAN'T HANDLE IT! So what's the history behind Pinkie? Well, he actually has a sign located there that tells you all about this roadside attraction. Which by the way is located in DeForest, Wisconsin.

Pinkie isn't new to town. So why is he there other than the amazing photo opportunities? Wisconsin Historical Markers details -

The Pink Elephant has been at this gas station since the mid-late 1960's. The elephant was brought here because the owner was looking for a way to make his gas station stand out from the other stations on this intersection. The elephant has been here ever since.

I mean hey, that's definitely one way to stand out.

Even if I didn't need gas, I would make whoever was driving pull over IMMEDIATELY so I could have a fun elephant photoshoot.

I think this is my favorite tourist photo I found on Insta.

So you took some hilarious pictures, but that's not all you can do! The inside of the gas station is basically like a Pinkie's gift shop. There's t-shirts, magnets, and plenty of other things to commemorate your trip to visit Pinkie.

You can go have some fun for yourself.

Google has it listed at - 4995 Co Rd V, DeForest, WI 53532.
