Taylor Swift surprised fans at her Minneapolis show with a song that she hasn't been performed in over a decade. That song came with a strong warning though.

The music superstar brought her highly anticipated Eras Tour to Minnesota over the weekend. Over the course of her two shows at U.S. Bank Stadium, Swift performed for approximately 120,000 passionate fans.

Those Swifties were equally as ravenous for the two openers for the show.

On Friday, June 23rd Gracie Abrams and girl in red warmed up the crowd. Then on Saturday night OWENN, a former dancer on her tour, and girl in red opened for the Pennsylvania native.

June 24th just so happened to be girl in red's last appearance on this tour.

This just proved to be the very start of a unique and exciting stop on the Eras Tour.

On any regular night of this tour, Taylor sings 44 songs in the span of just about three hours. When you have a music catalog that covers 17 years of hit music, you've got to do what you got to do.

I was lucky enough to see Swift on Saturday, and I had a suspicion that something strange was going to happen at this performance. Her set usually begins at 8 o'clock on the dot. However, she came on stage at approximately 7:45 PM.

What would she need a few extra minutes for?

It became quite clear during one of her most highly anticipated moments during her show. At every single concert, she has an acoustic set including two songs that she isn't a part of her normal setlist.

Fans have affectionately dubbed this "the surprise songs."

On night one in Minneapolis, she performed 'Paper Rings' and "If This Was A Movie.'

Before performing the surprise songs on Saturday night, Swift gave a five minute speech where she introduced the song. Thirteen days from June 24th, she will be re-releasing her third album 'Speak Now.'

Swift thanked fans for being supportive of her "passion project" of re-recording her music so she can own her songs. She wanted fans to continue being kind when this next record drops next month.

Especially to the people she might have written some of the songs about.

“I’m 33 years old. I don’t care about anything that happened to me when I was 19 except the songs I wrote,” Swift said.

As soon as she mentioned being nineteen, the crowd went wild. Fans knew exactly what this was in reference to...'Dear John' which is rumored to be about her ex-John Mayer.

After the reaction to the ten-minute version of 'All Too Well,' she knew she had to preface the performance with a warning.

Dear John

The 60,000 plus fans roared at the news that this would be one of their surprise songs. Once she concluded this performance, she sang a beautiful song off of 'Lover' called 'Daylight.'

You can watch the full five-minute speech she gave before performing the song and the song itself down below!
