Each January for decades, KHAK has asked you to make Valentines For Vets. It's such a tradition that each year, long before we start asking, you start making them. We know that many of you are already hard at work on this year's important creations for our veterans, in a year that we believe those valentines are more important than they've ever been.

This year, due to the safety of patients at the V.A. Hospital in Iowa City, the KHAK staff won't be able to distribute the valentines to patients. However, hospital staff will be handing them out to the always appreciative veterans at the V.A. Hospital and other clinics. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we think it's especially important to thank and honor our veterans this year, with your homemade valentines.

Making Valentines For Vets is a great activity for school classrooms, as well as church groups, families, and individuals too! Please drop them off at the below locations or send them to us. They must be at the below locations or received at our studios by Friday, February 5.

There are just a few things to keep in mind when making the valentines:

Please do not use glitter as they cause a mess in the hospital. Also, we ask that only your first or last name (not both) are written on the valentines. Finally, please do not include candy.

The valentines can be dropped off or mailed to us at:
