One of our favorite Mexican restaurants here in the Corridor should be back open for business in the next few months!

Back in late June, the people behind Villa's Patio in Marion announced on Facebook that the restaurant had suffered from a fire. According to CBS 2, "the fire was contained in the kitchen area but the entire building suffered smoke damage." You can read more about the fire HERE.

In early August, the owners gave the first update on the situation via Facebook. The post read:

"Thank you everyone for all the support! We are now beginning the rebuild process. They are projecting us back up and running around September or October time frame. Once we know more we will keep posting updates."

Since both September and October have come and gone, patrons of Villa's Patio have been wondering how the reconstruction has been coming along. Well, the restaurant owners have given us a new update on Facebook. Yesterday they posted a couple of photos of the interior of the restaurant, along with the caption:

"Making progress we are looking at the beginning of the year to reopen. Once we have a date set we will set a grand opening. Thank you everyone for all the support and love and see you guys soon for some good food and drinks!"

Once the restaurant posts another update, we will have it for you! If you'd like to follow along with the progress yourself, you can follow the restaurant on Facebook HERE.
