What is ‘Happy’ About Memorial Day?

Happy Memorial Day! It's a strange way to greet each other on a day when we honor soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We get the opportunity to take a day off from work, sleep in, shop for a half-price mattress, then go home and drink some adult beverages and grill some meat. As long as we remember what the day really means, I guess you could say those are the things that make it "happy", but I still think it's weird.
