BFFs Tonka & Baxter Hope to Find a Home in 2020

These two best buddies are looking for a family to share their love with!

Since we're all off for Christmas on Friday, this week we did a very special Thursday edition of (virtual) Furry Friday with Dogs Forever in Cedar Rapids. Jessica introduced us to Baxter and Tonka, two best friends that are looking to find a home together.

Baxter is a tan-colored hound mix and Tonka is a black and white lab/boxer mix. They are both still puppies at around 10-months-old and they weigh about 50-pounds each. They came to Iowa together from Texas and they are inseparable! Their official profile reads:

"They rely on each other and truly love each other. Because of this, we are looking for a forever home for them together. We believe they are a bonded pair and think it would be very difficult for them to go to separate homes."

Because of their size, Baxter and Tonka would do best in a home with no small children. They enjoy lots of attention and playing in the yard, which would ideally have a six foot fence. They are a little shy at first, but with some treats and a little love, they will warm up to you in no time!
