The 12th annual Bourbon & Blues Fest is just a few short weeks away!

Swisher will be filled with great music and delicious beverages this 4th of July weekend! The Bourbon & Blues Fest is set to take place at two different venues from Friday, July 2nd through Monday, July 5th.

The festival is a very popular event, usually bringing around 8,000 people to the town of Swisher. According to the website:

"Bourbon and Blues began in 2010 to celebrate Cedar Ridge’s first release of bourbon in Iowa. The event features the brand’s locally produced spirits and local, regional, and national blues musicians highlighting a range of talented artists."

While the majority of the performances will take place at Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery, there are a couple of concerts happening over at DanceMor Ballroom on Friday & Saturday. Barn Jams After Dark will feature The Kris Lager Band on July 2nd and Kevin Burt and Mike Zito & His Big Blues Band on July 3rd. Tickets for each show are $15. You can purchase them in advance HERE.

Aside from those two ticketed shows at DanceMor, the rest of the live music at the festival will be free at Cedar Ridge. Some of the bands and artists set to perform include the FunkDaddies, Billy Heller, Craig Erickson, and Rev. Raven & Chain Smoking Altar Boys. You can check out a full schedule of performances HERE.

If you love live music, there are a TON of national acts coming to Eastern Iowa this summer! Check out a full schedule of summer concerts HERE.
